I want to tell you that all the answers to the mysteries of the ages are lurking under here but I can't even type that with a straight face.

I use my journal for posting ephemera that amuses me. I use my journal for posting about RL vexations that set me off on a rant. I use my journal to hoard things to my bosom that I might want to paw again later. I do not, in general, use my journal for deep introspection.

If you have a completely empty journal and I have NEVER chatted with you at any Com, I'm probably not going to friend you back. While Coms are full of lurkers -- the more the merrier -- the idea of lurkers on my personal LJ holds no appeal at all.

If I don't friend back, please do not be offended as no offence is intended I assure you. I may just feel that we still need to get to know each other better:

1)I try to keep my flist to a manageable size.

2)I prefer to have something in common with my friends beyond mutual fannish interests. That *doesn't* have to mean anything concrete, it might well just be an impression of the same kind of sense of humour garnered from com chat.
